2nd Generation Metalcraft Ltd. has been in the making since the 1950’s when Joe Delisimunovic became a Master Blacksmith in a small village in Croatia. We came to Canada in the late 1960’s and soon people from all over the world began requesting his work, from local homes to Hollywood movies and their superstars.
His passion for original, handcrafted quality metalwork has been passed on to us, his sons, John and Joe Delisimunovic. The art of metalwork and blacksmithing has always been a part of our lives – we have grown up with it. It only makes sense that we are educated in the art of welding and are blacksmith inspired. |

Here you can see Master Blacksmith Martin Martincic on the far left. Mr. Martincic taught Joe Sr. the art of blacksmithing in this very shop more than 50 years ago. Joe had to ride his bike 12 kms each way from his little village in Croatia to this shop in Slovenia through the mountains and snow for 6 months. At the time, inner tubes were a luxury so Joe braided hemp fibers together and stuffed them in his tires. It was not an easy ride. |
